A new moon on November 20th, The Mars Volta, stopped in Boise at the knit to share their new but familiar frequencies from their newest album Lucrio Sucio; Los Ojos del vacio. They played this album from start to finish. A spiritual experience, and love letter to the audience to hear every unique sound through every thoughtful detail.
Their presence was so captivating that it was rare to see a phone out recording. Every fan was here to live in this moment with The Mars Volta before us. Their deep and unique sounds almost put you in a trance. Omar on the guitar crushing it as always while Cedric sang with an angelic like quality. Teri the gender bender was a lovely extra touch to add to the vocals and atmosphere. It was an absolutely unforgettable experience and such a pleasure to see such an elite band in our own town!
